Condragulations to Zaldy and Perry Meek for winning an Emmy for Outstanding Costumes - Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Programming for the season nine opening episode of RuPaul's Drag Race, 'Oh. My. Gaga!' Zaldy Goco, nominated for a second time, was Costume Designer for RuPaul, whilst Perry Meek designed Lady Gaga's look for the show.

This trio of RuPaul's spectacular judging gowns from the ninth season of the reality drag queen competition were photographed on display at Downtown L.A.'s FIDM Museum on August 23, 2017, and it's great to see them presented in all their drag queen padded glory.

Condragulations also go to RuPaul Charles as host of the show, which has become a cultural phenomenon, taking home an Emmy for a second consecutive year. Long may she reign.

Being a huge fan of RuPaul's Drag Race since the very first season (and of the Glamazon for many years before that) I just had to pay a visit to RuPaul's Pop-Up Shop at Sweet! Hollywood in the Hollywood & Highland Center on August 5, 2017, to see these fabulous frocks in person and where you can also buy all manner of merchandise inspired by Mama Ru.

The Emmy-nominated Zaldy Goco is the Costume Designer responsible for RuPaul's spectacular runway and judge's table looks (although hair, makeup, padding, charisma and talent go a long way to create the illusion too).

This in-store exhibit features a variety of gowns from many different seasons of the series, including the sophomore season through to dazzling sequin gowns from the fifth season, jeweled bows from the sixth season and polka dot dresses from season eight.
