Elizabeth Debicki reprises her role as 'Ayesha', High Priestess of the genetically perfect gold-skinned Sovereign people, in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3. In the third film in James Gunn's Guardians trilogy, we also learn that she and her people were created as genetic experiments by the 'High Evolutionary', a mad scientist who also experimented on and cybernetically-enhanced 'Rocket Raccoon' when he was younger. The deranged geneticist with his dreams of creating the ultimate Utopian race, dispatches Ayesha's creation, 'Adam Warlock', to retrieve what he considers his property, Rocket, to harvest his brain to see what makes him so unique.

In Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3, former Ravager 'Kraglin Obfonteri' gets to step out of the shadow off his former captain 'Yondu' and prove himself to his Guardians teammates and the residents of their space headquarters, Knowhere. Alongside the psionically-powered Labrador, 'Cosmo', he helps defend Knowhere and its citizens from the genetic experiment forces of the deranged 'High Evolutionary', whilst his teammates help heal 'Rocket Raccoon' and free more experiments from the geneticist's spaceship.

In Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3, Chukwudi Iwuji plays the 'High Evolutionary', a scientist who specializes in creating hybrid creatures with the goal of achieving the ultimate Utopian society. We learn that the Guardians 'Rocket Raccoon' was one of his creations, an Earth raccoon who was genetically and cybernetically-modified when he was younger and now the mad scientist wants his property back as he possesses superior intelligence and the ability of invention, which his other hybrids lack, so he wants to learn the secrets of Rocket's brain.
