With Halloween over and Election Day looming, we could all use a fairytale happily ever after, don't you think? So today, enjoy these screen-worn costumes from Disney's 2015 live-action Cinderella and her magical carriage on display at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, on August 23, 2019.

In the big screen retelling of the rags-to-riches fairytale, Helena Bonham Carter plays the 'Fairy Godmother' to Lily James 'Ella'.

Fans of the actress can also check out her Bellatrix Lastrange costume from Harry Potter, her Suffragette movie costume, her saloon gown from The Lone Ranger and her Red Queen costumes from the Alice in Wonderland films.

Let's just hope she's waving that magical wand and making my wish come true on on Tuesday!

When Ella's father dies, she's left at the mercy of her wicked Stepmother and Stepsisters, forced to do all the chores and live in the attic. When the crown prince, 'Kit', holds a royal ball to search for his new princess bride she tries to join her step-family in an old dress of her mother's, but they cruelly tear it apart.

Fortunately along comes her Fairy Godmother transforming a pumpkin into an ornate carriage, mice into horses, lizards into footmen and a goose into the coachman, whilst magically conjuring a beautiful ballgown and glass slippers to replace Ella's ripped gown that will last until midnight. Attending the ball, she ultimately finds her true love, they marry and live happily ever after.

Hopefully these fantastical costumes and props have provided a much needed distraction from the real world. Let's hope when the clock strikes midnight on election night, we're not left with a big rotten orange pumpkin this time around.

2015's live-action Cinderella movie gave us Cate Blanchett's deliciously cruel stepmother 'Lady Tremaine' and her two nasty daughters, 'Anastasia' (Holiday Grainger) and 'Drisella' (Sophie McShera) that gave Lily James 'Ella' such a hard time after the death of her father.
