In Live by Night, Ben Affleck both directed and starred as Prohibition Era bootlegger and gangster 'Joe Coughlin' in the adaptation of Dennis Lehane's 2012 crime novel of the same name. Ben Affleck's wide-shouldered, double-breasted suits and fedora hats help create the look of the Boston-bred monster who moves to Tampa, Florida to turn his back on his strict police father upbringing and make his mark on the criminal underworld.
