With the announcement that the solo Black Widow movie will now debut in cinemas and on Disney+ (for a premium rental fee) on July 9, 2021, I thought it would be cool to showcase some of the female Marvel Studios character costumes that I've come across on my travels to theatres, museums and conventions in recent years.

Hannah John-Kamen's Ghost costume from Ant-Man and the Wasp on display...
In Marvel Studios new Ant-Man and the Wasp movie, the size-changing, crime-fighting duo face off against a female criminal version of the 'Ghost', who uses stolen technology to turn herself intangible. Originally a male supervillian and industrial saboteur who plagued 'Iron Man' in the Marvel comics, this female Ghost played by Hannah John-Kamen resembles a mashup of the hooded original and the spookier character design that appeared in the Thunderbolts series.
Plus comic book aficionados can also enjoy all these other cool Marvel superhero TV and movie costumes on display in recent years.

Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly's Ant-Man and the Wasp movie costumes on display...
This summer Marvel's smallest heroes are back in a big way with a sequel to 2015's origin story that officially introduces the world to the crime-fighting duo of Ant-man and the Wasp. In the film Paul Rudd's 'Scott Lang' is struggling with his choices as superhero and father after Captain America: Civil War, when the original 'Ant-Man' aka 'Hank Pym' (Michael Douglas) and his daughter 'Hope van Dyne' (Evangeline Lilly) ask for his help on an urgent mission, which pits them against the intangible thief 'Ghost' (played by Hannah John-Kamen) and uncovers secrets of the Quantum Realm where the original 'Wasp' was thought lost years ago.

Even though the basic colour scheme stays the same and his helmet gets the re-additional of some red stripes there are some changes to Ant-Man's suit in this movie, and fans of the size-changing hero can also check out these previous Ant-Man costumes from his first solo movie and Captain America: Civil War to see the differences, like his belt and wrist gauntlets.
Interestingly you can see the pop of blue through the holes in the fabric, especially in different lighting. There's also something about her helmet that reminds me of a Star Wars Death Star droid's head. I can't wait to see her and this costume in action.
Marvel fans should also stay tuned for a closer look at Hannah John-Kamen's Ghost villain costume from Ant-Man and the Wasp.
