After the year we've all had we could all use some extra magic in our lives (even if it's a little dark magic), so I thought I'd search through my costume archives for some spellbinding witch and sorceress screen-worn looks to entertain you all with.

Evil Queen, Cruella de Vil, Cinderella and Hook costumes from Once Upon a Time on display...
At this year's Disney D23 Expo in Anaheim, California on August 23, 2019, you could find a magical collection of screen-worn costumes designed by Eduardo Castro from ABC's Once Upon a Time fairytale drama as part of the Walt Disney Archives Heroes & Villains costume exhibit. The fantasy series ran for seven seasons from October 2011 to May 2018 and featured iconic fairytale, folklore and literary characters from the 'Enchanted Forest' (and beyond) who had been cursed by an 'Evil Queen' and no longer knew who they really were, living in the fictional seaside town of 'Storybrooke', Maine, until over time they discovered the truth and their histories were revealed.
Apparently the costume brocade material was supposed to dyed black but came out a rose color, which was then covered in black netting to create its unique look, but still looks more than fit for an Evil Queen.

Victoria Smurfit plays Storybrooke's version of 'Cruella de Vil' and made her debut in the show's fourth season and returned to reprise her role in future episodes. She drives this customised 1980s Zimmer Golden Spirit coupe car in the series.
Plus for the movie looks of this iconic Disney villain, make sure you check out Glenn Close's Cruella de Vil costumes from the live-action 101 and 102 Dalmatians movies.
Plus for other versions of this rags-to-riches princess, make sure you also check out Lily James Cinderella movie ball gown and Anna Kendrick's Cinderella costume from Into the Woods.

Colin O'Donoghue was the devilishly handsome rogue 'Killian Jones' aka 'Captain Hook' in the Once Upon a Time universe and sported this pirate look, along with others, during his time on the show from 2012 to 2018.
For another version of this iconic pirate, make sure you also check out Christopher Walken's Captain Hook costume from Peter Pan Live! on display.
Plus fans of the fairytale fantasy show can also check out all these other Once Upon a Time costumes.

Snow White gown and more Once Upon a Time costumes on display...
The Once Upon a Time costumes I photographed at Disney's D23 Expo in Anaheim last August seemed really popular, so even though these images are not the best, I thought I'd share these other costumes from the hit ABC series I snapped on display at Disney's California Adventure theme park on November 12, 2013.
If you want to see Snow White's wedding gown and more besides, be sure to take a look at these original Once Upon a Time costumes from the Disney D23 Expo 2013.
And finally here are some photos of one of Lana Parrilla's 'Evil Queen' costumes, dark and deadly, just like the villainess.
