Marvel's most unlikely hero, 'Ant-Man', bursts on to the big screen this Summer and like all good origin stories, the tale of how this superhero movie was made was also fraught with its fair share of intrigue, trouble and strife. After being developed since 2006 by co-writer and director Edgar Wright, Peyton Reed was brought on board to replace the director in 2014. Fortunately Paul Rudd stuck around to play the size-changing, reformed criminal 'Scott Lang', whilst Michael Douglas was cast as the comic book's original Ant-Man, 'Dr. Hank Pym'.

Sammy Sheldon was
Costume Designer on the movie, and is also known for her fantastic work on
V for Vendetta, X-Men: First Class, Kick-Ass, Hellboy 2 and
The Imitation Game.

At first glance
Ant-Man may not seem as mighty as the other
Avengers, but I'm sure this hero from
Phase Two of
Marvel's Cinematic Universe will be a new favourite at conventions and
Halloween in the future. Enjoy the photos, I hope the details help all the costumers, cosplayers and comic book fans out there.

I'm fortunate enough to be going the
Hollywood premiere next Monday, so can't wait to see this suit (and a super-toned
Paul Rudd) in action in what looks like a pretty funny, action-packed film.
