Scarlet Witch and Vision costumes from the Avengers movies on display...

As it's the season of the witch in the run up to Halloween, today I thought I'd showcase two costumes worn by Elizabeth Olsen as 'Scarlet Witch' in Marvel Studios blockbuster Avengers movies. In addition, they also had her significant other, Paul Bettany's 'Vision' costume, on display as part of Marvel Studios retrospective costume exhibit at this year's D23 Expo in Anaheim, California on August 23, 2019.

This little seen super-heroic black and red costume (designed by Alexandra Byrne I believe), briefly appeared at the end of the movie when a new generation of Avengers recruits was assembled by 'Captain America' and 'Black Widow', including the 'Vision', 'Falcon' and 'War Machine'.

Plus you can also see the other costumes 'Wanda Maximoff' and her brother 'Quicksilver' wear earlier in Avengers: Age of Ultron, when they were manipulated by Hydra and 'Ultron' into being enemies of Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

This look first appeared in Captain America: Civil War and you can get a closer look at this Scarlet Witch movie costume designed by Judianna Makovsky when it was previously on display.

Paul Bettany's Vision costume may not be the best photographed through the reflective display case, but it's the first time I've seen it up close in person. It was also great to see the costume worn by the Synthezoid Avenger from back and front, as his cape is pretty detailed and impressive.

This superhero costume was once again by Costume Designer Alexandra Byrne and features a muscle suit underneath.

We'll next see these two heroes in the Disney+ streaming service Marvel Studios TV series WandaVision, and I for one can't wait to see more of these characters.

Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther costume from Captain America: Civil War on display...

Aside from many costume updates, tweaks and redesigns for the likes of 'Ant-Man', 'Captain America' and the 'Scarlet Witch', one character and costume making its debut in this year's Captain America: Civil War is the Wakandan ruler, 'Black Panther', played by Chadwick Boseman.

His sleek and stealthy costume was photographed on display alongside Elizabeth Olsen's new Scarlet Witch costume at ArcLight Pasadena cinema on April 11, 2016.

From the looks of things, history's first black superhero will side with 'Team Iron Man' in the Civil War that divides Earth's Mightiest Heroes after all the invasions and destruction in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including the mind-controlled Hulk and Iron Man's battle in South Africa, forces the government to crack down on superpowered individuals.

Do you know how hard it is to photograph a black costume in dark surroundings behind a reflective display case, very hard. But I did what I could as I know costumers and cosplayers will go as crazy as me for all the detail in this cool screen costume.

Personally I love the African tribal detailing on his mask and the integration of technology which highlights his Wakandan origins, plus the Vibranium metal detailing adorning the suit which is a design nod to the groundbreaking Christopher Priest run on T'Challa's comic book and his panther namesake.

Judianna Makovsky was Costume Designer on this explosive movie directed by Joe and Anthony Russo (and she worked with Ironhead Studios to bring the Black Panther's costume to the big screen), and you can get a closer look at more of her original costumes from Captain America: Civil War right here at Hollywood Movie Costumes and Props.

Fans of the actor can also check out Chadwick Boseman's costume from Get On Up in which he played the legendary Godfather of Soul, 'James Brown'.

I can't wait for this Black Panther to prowl and pounce his way onto the big screen this May, and in his future solo movie.
