X-Men: Apocalypse Cyclops movie costume on display...

In the latest film in the big screen X-Men franchise by Bryan Singer, the uncanny mutants face off against the first of their kind, 'Apocalypse' and his four harbingers of death and destruction, his 'Horsemen'. Set in the 1980s time period the movie features younger versions of classic X-Men - 'Jean Grey' (Sophie Turner), 'Storm' (Alexandra Shipp), 'Nightcrawler' (Kodi Smit-McPhee), 'Angel' (Ben Hardy) and 'Scott Summers aka Cyclops' played by Tye Sheridan.

Louise Mingenbach is Costume Designer for Marvel's merry mutants again this time around and you can also see Michael Fassbender's Magneto costume from X-Men: Apocalypse on display at ArcLight Hollywood currently.

The young X-Men uniform designs certainly look very militaristic (well I suppose they are at war with Apocalypse and his Four Horsemen), and at first they appear all-black but on closer inspection the armour and arm guards are black, but there's also a touch of olive army green there too.

Of course Cyclops is also sporting some ruby quartz Ray-Bans to help keep his eyes optic blasts under control.

I'm sure fans of the iconic comic book character and Cosplayers alike will appreciate all these detail shots to help them recreate their own costume looks.

Let's hope this inexperienced Cyclops is strong enough to survive in battle against Apocalypse (he has a nasty habit of dying in these movie adaptations).

What a truly 'Marvel-ous' start to the weekend, not only did I just watch the amazing Captain America: Civil War, but on display in the cinema lobby when I came out was Michael Fassbender's 'Magneto' costume from the forthcoming X-Men: Apocalypse movie.

This Magneto costume from the latest installment in the X-Men film franchise was designed by Louise Mingenbach and was photographed on display at ArcLight Hollywood cinema on May 6, 2016.

No stranger to superheroics, she was also responsible for outfitting Brandon Routh in his Superman Returns movie costume.

In this new X-Men movie directed by Bryan Singer, Marvel's merry mutants face off against the first of their kind, 'Apocalypse'. The seemingly immortal mutant believes in survival of the fittest and only the strongest should survive. To this end he recruits four 'Horsemen' (in the Marvel Comic Books there have been many iterations of these characters) and by the looks of things, one of his chosen this time around is the Master of Magnetism himself, to help bring death and destruction.

This armoured look is probably the closest to Magneto's comic book wardrobe and I know that cosplayers (and fans) will love the detail and colour of this latest movie costume.
