Great news for movie fans, costumers and cosplayers, this March FIDM Museum in Downtown Los Angeles threw open its doors once more to welcome visitors to its Art of Costume Design in Film exhibition. Included in the exhibition are this year's five Academy Award nominees and today the spotlight falls on Dune's costumes designed by Jacqueline West and Robert Morgan. Dune: Part One is directed by Denis Vlleneuve and adapted from Frank Herbert's epic 1965 sci-fi novel and is set in a distant future amidst a feudal interstellar society in which noble houses control planetary fiefs. The films follows the young 'Paul Atreides' (Timothée Chalamet), a man with a great messianic destiny, as his family accepts the stewardship of the desert planet Arrakis which is the only source of the valuable resource 'spice'.
