In DC's Joker standalone origin movie, the award-winning and Oscar-nominated Joaquin Phoenix plays the unstable 'Arthur Fleck', an aspiring stand-up comedian and clown-for-hire. Beaten up by a gang of kids, lied to by his mother and disregarded by society, his mental health takes a deadly turn as the arch-nemesis of 'Batman' is born in the movie directed by Todd Phillips. Leading the Academy Award nominations this year with eleven nods, Costume Designer Mark Bridges is nominated for the Oscar for Best Costume Design.
