In the beginning of the film Ken is besotted with Barbie and his job is "beach" and wears this beachwear outfit.

When he returns from the real world he brings back toxic masculinity and misogyny traits, and a love of horses, and transforms Barbie's dreamhouse into his own Dojo Mojo Casa House and wears the over-the-top white fur coat look.
