The Little Mermaid live-action movie costumes on display...

In 2023's live-action reimagining of Disney's classic 1989 animated version of The Little Mermaid, Halle Bailey plays 'Ariel' in the musical romantic fantasy. Based on Hans Christian Andersen's Danish fairytale of the same name, the curious and headstrong mermaid princess Ariel who is fascinated with the human world saves 'Prince Eric' (Jonah Hauer-King) from a shipwreck and makes a deal with the sea witch 'Ursula' (played by Melissa McCarthy) to walk on land and follow her heart and dreams. In the film Jessica Alexander plays a human alter-ego of Ursula named 'Vanessa', as part of her scheming to steal the undersea Atlantica throne from Ariel's father 'King Triton' (Javier Bardem).

When Felix invites Oliver to stay at his eccentric wealthy family at their estate for the summer, a series of horrifying and unsettling events befall them, making you wonder if Oliver is as innocent as he seems.

I love Oliver's Midsummer Night's Dream Party suit that he wears for his birthday with its leafy and hidden moth embroidery, gold acorn buttons and moth necklace (maybe symbolizing being drawn like a moth to a flame in Felix's orbit). Shame that the reindeer antlers are not included with the costume display.

In director Christopher Nolan's epic movie biopic, Oppenheimer, Cillian Murphy plays J. Robert Oppenheimer, an American physicist appointed to work on the top secret Manhattan Project with a group of scientists, tasked with developing and designing the atomic bomb during World War II. Emily Blunt also stars as his biologist wife and ex-communist party member, Katherine "Kitty" Oppenheimer (and was Oscar nominated for Supporting Actress for her portrayal). The film was nominated for 13 Academy Awards, including Best Costume Design, and took home seven Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor (Cillian Murphy) and Supporting Actor (Robert Downey Jr.).

Director Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon movie focuses on the real life series of Osage Indian murders and relations in the Osage Nation after oil was discovered on tribal land. The film is based on David Grann's non-fiction book, Killers of their Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI. The epic western crime drama was nominated of ten Academy Awards, including Oscar nominations for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Leading Actress for Lily Gladstone and Best Costume Design for Jacqueline West.

In the film Lily Gladstone plays 'Mollie Kyle' who marries Leonardi DiCaprio's World War I veteran 'Ernest Burkhart' in this traditional style Osage wedding coat and hat.

Things do not end happily for the couple though, as years later when Mollie travels to Washington, D.C. with an Osage delegation to lobby the President for help in connection with her tribe's murders, a local crime boss who is her husband's uncle orders him to poison his wife to slow her down, which he does using her insulin for her diabetes.

Found near death by agents of the Bureau of Investigation, she recovers and ultimately leaves her husband after he turns states evidence and testifies against his uncle, but he refuses to admit he poisoned her.
