Lena Thwaite's The Chi explores life in a neighbourhood on the South Side of Chicago and how a murder of a young boy affects the predominantly black and poor community living there. These costumes from the show are worn by Sonja Sohn as 'Laverne Johnson' a mother of two with a drinking problem, Barton Fitzpatrick as drug dealer and gang leader 'Reg' and Jacob Latimore as sneaker-obsessed teen and young father 'Emmett Washington'.

In The Arrangement Christine Evangelista's unknown TV actress 'Megan Morrison' is offered a $10 million contract with one of Hollywood's hottest stars. The behind-the-scenes of Hollywood drama series aired on E! for two seasons from 2017 to 2018.

Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising Alumna Mandi Line was Costume Designer on the series, with help from Assistant Costume Designers Lux Petrova and Jill Livingston and Costume Supervisor Roza Murphy.

Broad City season 4 TV costumes on display...

In honour of the fifth and final season of Broad City airing on Comedy Central today, I thought fans would love to check out this selection of wardrobe from the series fourth season on display. The show follows two twenty-somethings, 'Ilana Wexler' (Ilana Glazer) and 'Abbi Abrams' (Abbi Jacobson), navigating life and living large in New York City.

These season four costumes were photographed on display at Downtown L.A.'s FIDM Museum on August 21, 2018, and I especially like the feminist icon denim jacket sported by Ilana Glazer in the show (and Hillary Clinton once even had a cameo in the show's third season).

Staci GreenBaum was Costume Designer on the comedy series with help from Assistant Costume Designer Angel Peart and Costume Supervisor Bryan Czerniawski.

Alita: Battle Angel movie costume and gyro-bike on display...

This year director Robert Rodriguez brings us a live-action adaptation of Alita: Battle Angel, based on Yukito Kishiro's Japanese manga Gunnm, with Rosa Salazar as the titular teenage cyborg heroine. The cyberpunk story is set in a post-apocalyptic future were an abandoned 'Alita' is found in a scrapyard and is given a new robotic body by scientist 'Dr. Dyson Ido' (Christoph Waltz). With a mysterious past and no memories, her new friend 'Hugo' (Keean Johnson) offers to help her navigate the treacherous Iron City as she discovers she has amazing fighting abilities in the Motorball arena.

Nina Proctor is Costume Designer on the futuristic movie, although it looks like her costume was rendered by CGI and motion capture the same way her eyes were made to look impossibly bigger.

This looks more like a cinema standee than the actually costume, but the robotic arms and sword are great reference for fans and cosplayers.

In addition to Alita, the exhibit also shines a spotlight on Hugo's futuristic gyro-bike from the movie.

Let's see if Alita: Battle Angel can escape the whitewashing curse that plagued the live-action adaptation of Ghost in the Shell at the box office this February.
