2015 Tartan Prancer from Vacation movie on display...

If you go down to ArcLight Hollywood today you're sure to have a big surprise, as you'll find the 2015 Tartan Prancer family truckster used in the new Vacation movie. Ed Helms stars as an adult 'Rusty Griswold' who wants to take his wife (Christina Applegate) and their two kids on a cross country trip to Walley World before it closes its doors for the last time in this reboot of 1983's National Lampoon's Vacation movie franchise.

This blue picture car was made especially for the new comedy (apparently manufactured by the equivalent of the Honda of Albania) and was photographed outside the infamous L.A. cinema on opening weekend on July 31, 2015 (although it's a shame they felt the need to slap the Vacation stickers all over the car, kind of ruins the effect).

Be sure to also check out this faux advertisement for the car featured in the movie.
Meanwhile inside in the foyer of the cinema you can also currently find Tom Cruise's BMW motorbike from Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation on display.

In the past the ArcLight Hollywood has also had on display outside a Camo Tumbler from The Dark Knight Rises, the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS from Jack Reacher, Tony Stark's Audi from Iron Man and even Optimus Prime and Autobot cars from Transformers movies.

That's what I love about living in Hollywoodland, there's also so much from the movies to be seen at your local cinema.

Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation BMW motorbike on display...

Tom Cruise is back as 'Ethan Hunt' this Summer in the fifth installment of the Mission: Impossible film franchise, based on the classic TV series which ran from 1966 to 1973. To help promote the upcoming movie the ArcLight Hollywood cinema had this BMW S1000 RR motorbike from Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation on display, which I believe is the model ridden by Tom Cruise in the film.

In this movie the IMF (Impossible Missions Force) team are targeted by a sinister global syndicate, which cause them to go rogue to survive. Tom Cruise is a fan of motorbikes and it looks like this movie won't disappoint when it comes to high speed chases and explosive stunts.

If you're a fan of the movies, be sure to check out these Mission: Impossible movie costumes from previous big screen installments.

Plus if you're a fan of motorbikes, take at look at this motorcycle from The Place Beyond The Pines, these cool motorbikes from Ghost Rider 2 and Matt Damon's motorbike from The Bourne Ultimatum.

Spacesuits from Doctor Who's Listen and Kill the Moon episodes...

Fans of Doctor Who will have become quite familiar with these orange Sanctuary Base 6 spacesuits from the show's revival era, which first appeared 2006's 'The Impossible Planet' and have popped up in subsequent stories where the need arose, like 'The Waters of Mars'. In this instance this spacesuit is not from 'Kill the Moon' as you'd at first suspect with the accompanying alien spider creature and other spacesuit from that season eight episode on display, but is in fact from 'Listen' and worn by Samuel Anderson as astronaut 'Orson Pink'.

These costumes from the beloved British sci-fi show were spied on display at the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff Bay, Wales on April 20, 2015.

Colonel Orson Pink was an astronaut in the 22nd century and suggested descendant of 'Danny Pink', a former soldier and maths teacher from the 21st century.

Peter Capaldi, Jenna Coleman and Ellis George also wore similar orange spacesuits (without the SB6 badge) as the 'Twelfth Doctor', his Companion 'Clara Oswald' and Coal Hill schoolgirl 'Courtney Woods' in 'Kill the Moon', which featured giant spider-like aliens infesting Earth's Moon in 2049.

I think that this other spacesuit (which seems to be missing a gadget on the left hand side) belongs to the human 'Captain Lundvik' (played by Hermione Norris), who was sent with her crew of two to blow up the moon before its gravity destroyed Earth.

Screen-used costumes and props from Doctor Who's Robot of Sherwood...

Over its fifty plus year history Doctor Who has explored time, space and also a great number of literary heroes, like in the eighth season episode inspired by the legend of Robin Hood, 'Robot of Sherwood'.

Traveling through Sherwood Forest in 1190 England, the 'Twelfth Doctor' (Peter Capaldi) and his Companion 'Clara Oswald' (Jenna Coleman) meet the infamous 'Robin Hood' (played by Tom Riley) and his Merry Men. This exhibit included Clara's Medieval red gown from the episode, plus this mannequin with Robin Hood's costume is also holding the golden arrow prize from the archery contest.

And you can't have a Robin Hood story without his arch-nemesis, the 'Sheriff of Nottingham' (played in this instance by Ben Miller). On this occasion the villain has found a crashed spacecraft and has taken control of the robotic men that piloted it, with a plan to conquer the world.

These Sheriff of Nottingham and Robot Knight costumes, by Series Costume Designer Howard Burden, are two of my favourites from this visit to the Doctor Who Experience exhibition.

In the episode the knight's Medieval helmet splits open to reveal the android's emotionless face within and its disintegration ray.

If you're a fan of the infamous Medieval archer and his Merry Men, be sure to also check out these original costumes and props from 2010's Robin Hood movie which starred Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett.

Plus for more Medieval costume inspiration, you should also take a look at Kristen Stewart's coronation gown from Snow White and the Huntsman, plus Maureen O'Hara's Lady Godiva of Coventry movie gown from 1955.

For more cool suits of armour, enjoy King Stefan's costume from Maleficent and Terry English's armours from 1981's Excalibur movie.

Defective Dalek from Doctor Who's Into the Dalek episode...

In the eighth season episode 'Into the Dalek', the 'Twelfth Doctor' and his Companion 'Clara Oswald' shrunk down and ventured inside the body of one of his greatest foes. Here's the defective Dalek, aka 'Rusty', photographed on display at the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff Bay, Wales on April 20, 2015.
