Apparently Brad Pitt's character 'Westray' is a shady, charismatic middleman and an unapologetic womanizer (hence the sharp suit), whose warnings about the dangers of the deal to the counselor go unheeded.

The costume designer dressed the actor as a tailored Texan gentleman, inspired by 'The Singing Cowboy' (country music legend Hank Williams).
