Original Alice in Wonderland garden party costumes on display...

In Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, I believe these colourful costumes were worn during The Mad Hatter's flashback to the White Queen's garden party where people were dancing around a maypole, before they were attacked by the Red Queen's forces.

Alien creature from John Carpenter's The Thing...

This gruesome shape-shifting alien creature was featured in John Carpenter's 1982 remake of The Thing.

When a parasitic alien life-form infiltrates an American Antarctic research station it kills and assimilates other organisms. At one stage it it takes over the form of 'Vance Norris' (played by Charles Hallahan) and in an attempt to escape being burned alive, it separates his head from the rest of the body and sprouts crablike legs, amongst other things.

Rob Bottin was make-up effects creator and designer on the classic sci-fi horror, and responsible for creating the outlandish and over-the-top special effects that are still impressive today.

I'm not sure whether this is an original concept model, a prop used in the production of the movie or a reproduction for use in Universal Orlando's Horror Make-Up Show (where it was photographed on September 23, 2010), but regardless it's still an eye-catching creature design.

An American Werewolf in London make-up sculpture...

I believe this gory sculpture is a replica of the actual make-up used by Rick Baker for Griffin Dunne as the murdered 'Jack Goodman' in 1981's An American Werewolf in London.

Rick Baker won the Best Make-Up Oscar for his work on this classic horror movie in 1982, which was the first year the Academy Award for this category was introduced.

In the movie, Lord Beckett wears this outfit when commanding a formidable armada against his old nemesis, 'Captain Jack Sparrow', in a final stand to try and rid the world of the pirate scourge.

This regal costume was designed by Penny Rose. She also was responsible for Captain Barbossa pirate costume and Elizabeth Swann's gown worn by Keira Knightley, both on display here at Hollywood Movie Costumes and Props.
