Undeniably one of the best things about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was Gal Gadot's kick-ass 'Wonder Woman'. Even though I'm a huge Marvel Comics fan, I've always thought that DC Comics Amazonian warrior (who turns 75 this year) has always sported one of the most iconic superhero costumes in my opinion, and this 2016 updated look is no exception.

This Wonder Woman costume was designed by Michael Wilkinson and was photographed on display at the Warner Bros. Studios VIP Tour Museum in Burbank, California on June 9, 2016.

The Costume Designer was also responsible for giving Superman his new look in Man of Steel, plus you can also see more of his work in these Tron: Legacy movie costumes, these Sucker Punch film costumes and these American Hustle movie costumes.

In the movie which sees the two iconic DC superheroes battle each other, the Israeli actress stars as 'Diana Prince' aka Wonder Woman, who is on a mission of her own to retrieve a stolen photograph from her past, but who becomes embroiled in Batman and Superman's lethal battle with 'Lex Luthor' and his alien hybrid creation.

As a comparison here's also the original Wonder Woman costume worn by Lynda Carter from the 1975 to 1979 TV series, also on display on the WB studio tour.

I don't need a lasso of truth to tell you all that I had such a crush on the actress when I was younger, probably like every other gay boy, and thought her patriotic star-spangled costume and the whole fun superhero show was fabulous, so it was a joy to see this outfit up close. Invisible planes, bullet-deflecting bracelets, flying tiaras and of course, spinning around and around for days.
I can't wait to see the iconic super-heroine's first solo big screen outing next year.
