In the new film by Drive's Nicolas Winding Refn, Elle Fanning plays a 16-year-old aspiring model who moves to Los Angeles and finds that her natural youth and beauty makes her a target of other women in the dangerous and deadly world of high fashion.

To promote the psychological horror film this fabulous exhibit of costumes was on display at ArcLight Hollywood cinema on June 18, 2016. Not only was the neon lighting in tune with the theme of the movie, but the dresses also rotated in circles for a 360° reveal of the fashionable looks, such a great idea.

Erin Benach was Costume Designer on this high-fashion thriller and these two outfits were worn by Bella Heathcote as 'Gigi', one of the vicious and vindictive Hollywood models that Elle Fanning's character encounters when she's introduced to the vacuous, backstabbing world of the modeling industry.

Apparently the film's director is colour blind, so his movies always have a vivid contrast of colours, which I'm sure also influenced the costume choices in this, his first horror flick.
The movie costume and prop exhibits have been popping up with greater frequency of late, so stay tuned in the days to come for even more great screen-used treasures on display around L.A.
