Don't let a slap that was seen around the world at this year's Academy Awards ceremony stop you from checking out these screen-worn costumes from the sports biopic King Richard. This film is about the early careers of legendary tennis superstars, Venus (Saniyya Sidney) and Serena Williams (Demi Singleton), and their father and trainer Richard Williams (played by Will Smith). They progress from training on Compton, California's neglected tennis courts in all weather conditions, to being taken on by a professional coach after their father tirelessly advocates for them.

This trio of costumes from the movie set in late 1980s/early 1990s was photographed on display at Downtown L.A.'s FIDM Museum on March 22, 2022.
