In the 2021 Netflix film, The Harder They Fall, director Jeymes Samuel brings viewers a different perspective of the American Wild West sporting a predominantly Black principal cast. In the Western, Jonathan Majors outlaw 'Nat Love' assembles a gang, including his former lover 'Mary Fields' (Zazie Beetz), to track down an old enemy and ruthless crime boss who killed his parents, 'Rufus Buck' (Idris Elba), who has been sprung from a prison train by Regina King's 'Trudy Smith' and the rest of his cutthroat gang.

This quartet of costumes from the western were photographed on display at Downtown L.A.'s FIDM Museum on March 22, 2022.
Antionette Messam was Costume Designer on this film which takes place between the 1870s and 1890s, with characters based on real-life cowboys and outlaws occupying the Old West during this time.
Zazie Beetz fans can also check out her Domino costume from Deadpool 2, whilst Regina King admirers can take a look at her movie costume from If Beale Street Could Talk.
