There's no denying the eighth and final season of HBO's Game of Thrones polarized fans, but it's also true that the episodes showcased the fearless women of Westeros in an amazing way, whether they be warriors, politicians, witches or queens.

Sophie Turner's 'Sansa Stark' had one of the most satisfying concussions to her storyline, becoming 'Queen of the North' at the end of the season.

This regal costume is so intricate, hard and soft, from the embroidered leafs and wolf designs on the sleeve cuffs and the Direwolves crown, sigils of House Stark, to the armoured bodice.

Maisie Williams was another actress who had a stellar final storyline as 'Arya Stark', as with her Faceless Men training she slayed the 'Night King' with her deft dagger skills. I can't help but feel her costume will be one look many girls will want to emulate as their favourite heroine in the future.

Probably one of the most disappointing endings was for Emilia Clarke's 'Mother of Dragons', as she didn't end up sitting upon the Iron Throne, but succumbed to the her 'Targaryen' bloodline madness.

In the final season Gwendoline Christie's loyal warrior 'Brienne of Tarth' finally got her man ('Jaime Lannister'), and lost him again, but also became a knight of the Seven Kingdoms, the first of her gender.
