Baz Luhrmann's ambitious and lavish TV musical, The Get Down, may not have secured a large enough audience for a second season on Netflix, but the funky wardrobe from the show certainly evoked the feel of the 1970s Bronx as it told the tale of a group of teenagers struggling to find love, fame and fortune during the rise of hip-hop and disco.

These era specific costumes were the work of Costume Designer Jeriana San Juan, Assistant Costume Designer Catherine Crabtree and Costume Supervisor Anne Newton Harding.This selection of superfly looks were photographed on display at Downtown L.A.'s FIDM Museum on August 23, 2017 at the 11th Outstanding Art of Television Costume Design exhibition.
