The Starz political thriller, Gaslit, starred Julia Roberts and Sean Penn and was based on the first season of the podcast Slow Burn by Leon Neyfakh. The drama is about the Watergate scandal and focuses on several untold stories, centering on 'Martha Mitchell', a celebrity Arkansan socialite and the wife of President Nixon's loyal Attorney General, 'John N. Mitchell'. Despite her party affiliation, she is the first person to publicly sound the alarm over Nixon's involvement in Watergate, causing the presidency and her personal life to unravel, with her husband forced to choose between the President and his marriage.
