Oscar-nominated Cruella movie costumes on display...

2021's Cruella movie is an origin story for the Disney villain with Emma Stone playing a young and rebellious grifter named 'Estella Miller' hoping to make a name for herself in the fashion world of 1970s London. When she meets the legendary designer 'The Baroness' (Emma Thompson), she decides to embrace her wicked side and get her revenge as 'Cruella'. Costume Designer Jenny Beavan is nominated for an Academy Award for director Craig Gillespie's reimagining of the devilish character from Dodie Smith's 1956 The Hundred and One Dalmatians novel.

This trio of fabulous Cruella movie costumes were photographed on display at Downtown L.A.'s FIDM Museum on March 22, 2022.

The costumes include a punky motorcycle jacket look (in which the actress has "The Future" spray-painted across her face to act as a mask), a reimagined Dalmatian coat for the black and white ball and a red dress inspired by Charles James "Tree" dress (in which Estella takes an old gown worn by the Baroness and deconstructs it to make a fiery debut entrance as Cruella).

If you like these looks, make sure you also check out Glenn Close's Cruella de Vil costumes from 101 Dalmatians and 102 Dalmatians.

Plus for more designs from Oscar winner Jenny Beavan make sure you take a look at these Mad Max: Fury Road costumes, these costumes from The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, these costumes for The King's Speech and these Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows costumes.

Jenny Beavan has already won the Critics' Choice Award, Costume Designers Guild Award and BAFTA for Best Costume Design for Cruella, so let's see if she can add an Oscar to her shelf on Sunday.
