In Disney's new fantasy adventure, The Nutcracker and the Four Realms directed by Lasse Hallström and Joe Johnston, a young girl called 'Clara' (Mackenzie Foy) finds herself transported to a magical parallel world of gingerbread men, armies of mice and lands of flowers, sweets and snowflakes. With her soldier friend 'Philip' she must face the tyrant regent 'Mother Ginger' (Helen Mirren) and retrieve a key to return harmony to the unstable world.

In this movie adaptation Keira Knightly plays the monarch of the Realm of Sweets, the infamous 'Sugar Plum Fairy'.

You can see under the flash photography that the fairytale gown has a shimmering, iridescent quality to it.
