On my first visit to Las Vegas earlier this year on April 7, I was fortunate enough to enjoy Cirque du Soleil's fantastical aquatic themed show 'O' at The Bellagio Hotel.

I was reminded the other day that I'd snapped some of the amazing costumes featured in the show that were on display in the theatre's foyer.
The show is such a visual spectacle of acrobatics, diving and performance art, that it's hard to notice the detail of the costumes from afar, so it was great to see them up close. I especially liked the female synchronized swimmers outfits, with their jeweled scales.

The wonderful costumes were designed by Dominique Lemieux in 1998 and the make-up for the show was created by Nathalie Gagne.
