Congratulations to Elton John and Bernie Taupin for their Best Original Song Oscar win for "I'm Gonna Love Me Again" from the iconic pop star's movie musical biopic, Rocketman. The 2019 feature film directed by Dexter Fletcher saw the rise of a young and shy piano prodigy, Reginald Dwight, to fame and his breakthrough years in the 1970s as Elton John. Played by Taron Egerton, the movie chronicled the music legend's highs, loves and lows with the help of a wonderful array of flamboyant costumes designed by Julian Day.

28th Art of Motion Picture Costume Design exhibition.

Of all the amazing costumes from the film, this winged devil costumes worn by
Elton to rehab is my favourite with its high-collared, orange lycra outfit with dazzling flame design, red wings, heart-shaped glasses and horned headpiece.

Maleficent a run for her money with its horns and wings.

'Tin Man' and a fur coat for the
'Cowardly Lion'.

L.A. Dodgers baseball outfit was based on a bespoke sequin stage uniform worn by
Elton John, but this version is covered with around 140,000
Swarovski crystals for extra sparkle under the film's lights.

Call it a chicken, rooster or cockerel suit, this is the multi-coloured costume worn by
Elton to play the
Royal Albert Hall and features a high mohawk feathered headpiece (and a sequin codpiece).
