In Blonde, Ana de Armas plays Norma Jeane Mortenson, the Hollywood actress who became Marilyn Monroe, the "Blonde Bombshell" of the silver screen and one of the most popular sex symbols of the 1950s and early 1960s. Based on Joyce Carol Oates' 2000 novel of the same name, the film is a fictionalized take on her rise to fame and her inevitable demise.
