HBO's teen drama Euphoria follows Zendaya's 'Ruby "Rue" Bennett', a recovering drug addict struggling to find her place in the world and chart her future alongside her classmates in the fictional town of East Highland. Known for its complex portrayals of queerness, Hunter Schafer plays a transgender girl named 'Jules Vaughn' who has a turbulent relationship with Rue, Sydney Sweeney plays 'Cassandra "Cassie" Howard with an infamous sexual history that haunts her and Alexa Demie's 'Madeleine "Maddy" Perez' is the popular girl at school all navigating substance-enhanced high school parties and daily anxieties, challenges and fears.
