In honour of the one year anniversary of Disney+ in the U.S., I thought I'd shine a spotlight on these screen-worn costumes from 2019's live-action Aladdin movie on display at Disney's D23 Expo on August 23, 2019, at the Anaheim Convention Center, California. In the film directed by Guy Ritchie, Mena Massoud played the titular street urchin-turned-prince, Naomi Scott added new dimensions to 'Princess Jasmine' and Marwen Kenzari brought the scheming wizard 'Jafar' to life on the big screen.

Michael Wilkinson was the Costume Designer responsible for translating the looks from the beloved 1992 animated feature into the live-action world of sand and sorcery.

In the film Marwan Kenzari plays the Royal Vizier of Agrabah, Jafar, the Sultan's most trusted advisor, who needs Aladdin to enter the Cave of Wonders and retrieve the Genie's lamp for its wish-granting properties in order to rule the kingdom.
Instead the street rat receives three wishes from the Genie (played by Will Smith), one of which is to transform him into 'Prince Ali', a possible suitor for Princess Jasmine, until his ruse is uncovered.
