Screen-worn costumes from Downton Abbey movie on display...

Last year Julian Fellowes historical period drama Downton Abbey made the leap from the small screen to the big screen as the aristocratic 'Crawleys' and their domestic servants welcomed the reigning Royal family to their Yorkshire country estate in 1927. In attendance were Maggie Smith's Dowager Countess 'Violet Crawley', Elizabeth McGovern's 'Cora Crawley' (wife to the 'Earl of Grantham'), Laura Carmichael's 'Lady Edith' and Michelle Dockery's 'Lady Mary Talbot' in all their finery.

These glam costumes worn by the actresses in the feature film were photographed on display at Downtown L.A.'s FIDM Museum & Galleries on February 4, 2020 (sadly now closed early due to the coronavirus outbreak).

Anna Robbins was Costume Designer on the film directed by Michael Engler and you can see more of her costumes from the Downton Abbey movie and series on display.
