In last year's reimagined adaptation of Richard Wright's 1939 book Native Son, Ashton Sanders stars as 'Bigger Thomas', a young African-American man living in Chicago who gets embroiled in the seductive world of money and power after he is hired to be a driver for an affluent white businessman in a modern tale of race, class and the illusion of opportunity.
