In the dark comedy, The Art of Self-Defense, Jesse Eisenberg plays 'Casey Davies', a mil-mannered accountant who is attacked on the street by a roving motorcycle gang and decides to study martial arts as a way to defend himself. Studying under Alessandro Nivola's 'Sensei' at the karate dojo he finds a new sense of self confidence, but when he attends the Sensei's mysterious night classes he discovers a world of fraternity, brutality and hyper-masculinity.
