This year the Tomb Raider adventure video game-turned-movie franchise gets rebooted with Alicia Vikander taking on the mantle of adventurer and problem solver, 'Lara Croft'. In this version 21-year-old Lara has renounced the family fortune and global empire of her missing eccentric explorer father and is a London bike courier, barely making rent, but trying to forge her own path. Seven years after his disappearance she gets drawn into the mystery of his death, which leads her to a fabled tomb on a mysterious Japanese island and a race against time to stop an organisation with genocidal plans for the world.

Screen-used props from Tomb Raider
This collection of screen-used props includes Lara's bow, ice axe, rope, backpack, maps and letters, plus snack cycle bag, food menu and receipts, no doubt from her bike courier endeavors.Alicia Vikander is a great actress and it'll be interesting to see her follow in the footsteps of Angelina Jolie from the original 2001 and 2003 Lara Croft: Tomb Raider movies, but let's hope this rebooted film franchise has something original to offer on the big screen.
