Ever since Doctor Who was revived in 2005, the annual Christmas Special episodes have been a real treat to look forward to over the festive period, and more often than not have a nice seasonal feel to their stories.

The 2011 special once again takes its name from a famous work of literature, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and sees the Time Lord helping the 'Arwell' family displaced during the London Blitz have the best Christmas possible when their husband and father is thought lost over the English Channel.The Doctor's gift to the family transports them to an alien winter wonderland where a team of Harvest Rangers want to destroy a forest of trees for energy.
