The Sting 1973 Best Picture Oscar...

The 1973 film, The Sting, starring Paul Newman and Robert Redford, won the Best Picture Oscar at the Academy Awards Ceremony in 1974. The Oscar is on display at Universal Studios Hollywood and the picture was taken on April 13, 2009.

Directed by George Roy Hill the movie set in 1930's Chicago won seven Oscars in total for Best Director, Best Picture, Best Art Direction/Set Direction, Best Costume Design, Best Film Editing, Best Music (Scoring Original Song Score and/or Adaptation) and Best Writing (Story and Screenplay based on Factual Material).

Robert Redford was also nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role, together with Oscar nominations for Best Cinematography and Best Sound.
