In 2019's biographical adventure film The Aeronauts, Felicity Jones plays a daredevil hot air balloon pilot in 1862 named 'Amelia Wren', who teams up with Eddie Redmayne's meteorologist 'James Glaisher' to advance human understanding of the weather by flying higher than anyone in history, facing atmospheric physics and the elements on their groundbreaking journey which becomes a fight for survival. The movie is based on true events and Richard Holmes 2013 book, Falling Upwards: How We Took to the Air.
