In the debut season of Netflix's 1980s female wrestling dramedy, GLOW, a struggling actress and a former soap star and new mother set aside their differences (the former slept with her best friend's husband) to join a fledgling women's wrestling show organised by a washed-up Hollywood director. Alison Brie stars as faux Russian 'Zoya the Destroyer', whilst Betty Gilpin plays her all-American rival in the ring, 'Liberty Belle'.
