In Martin Scorsese's Silence, Andrew Garfield and Adam Driver play two Portuguese Jesuit priests in the 17th century who travel to Japan in search of their missing mentor, 'Father Ferreira' (Liam Neeson), and spread the Christian faith in a time when it was outlawed and their presence forbidden there.
Original film costumes from Silence
These missionary priest and Samurai costumes were designed by Dante Ferretti (who also doubled as Production Designer on the movie) and were photographed on display at Downtown L.A.'s Film Museum on February 8, 2017.
If you like these screen-worn outfits, be sure to also check out more examples from this year's 25th Art of Motion Picture Costume Design exhibition at the FIDM Museum.
