This September Julia Louis-Dreyfus took home her fifth consecutive Emmy win at the 68th Emmy Awards for her role as Vice President 'Selina Meyer' in HBO's political satire, Veep. In a previous season she was elevated to America's acting Commander-in-Chief and here's a glimpse of some of her Presidential looks, and costumes worn by her staff, on the show.
Original costumes from Veep
These fun Veep costumes were photographed on display at Downtown L.A.'s FIDM Museum on August 9, 2016.
It's worth noting that Veep was designed as a parody of Washington, D.C. politics, but with this U.S. election year turning into the most divisive, vulgar and embarrassing in world history thanks to Donald Trump, it's getting harder to distinguish between real life and this scripted comedy series at times.
Let's hope a female U.S. President isn't just something you see on television shows this November.
