This year it looks like Hollywoodland is turning to Biblical epics to cash in at the box office, with one of the first movies being Noah, with Russell Crowe in the titular role as the man with prophetic visions of an apocalyptic flood threatening Earth's inhabitants.

Here are two original costumes designed by Michael Wilkinson from the movie on display within ArcLight Hollywood's lobby on April 4, 2014. He's a busy Costume Designer and was recently nominated for an Oscar for his costumes in American Hustle and is also responsible for the darker look of Superman's suit in Man of Steel. In addition Matt Reitsma was Head Textile Artist on the film and responsible for helping to create the rich textured fabrics of the costumes in Noah's world.

In the Biblical fantasy directed by Darren Aronofsky, Ray Winstone plays the film's villain, the savage and cannibalistic king Tubal-Cain, who killed Noah's father when he was younger.

Meanwhile in this movie inspired by the story from the Old Testament, Russell Crowe is the legendary 'Noah', responsible for building an Ark to survive a great flood.

If you're a fan of the actor, be sure to also check out Russell Crowe's costume from Gladiator and his Robin Hood movie costume (he does seem to have an affinity for playing iconic characters from the past).
