Vera Farmiga's costume from Electric Dreams: Kill All Others on display...

The sci-fi anthology series Electric Dreams tells a different story each episode inspired by the short stories of iconic writer Philip K. Dick. In the episodes 'Kill All Others' directed by Dee Rees and inspired by 1953's 'The Hanging Stranger', Vera Farmiga plays a politician in a near future North America where there is only on presidential Candidate in a world where video advertising is everywhere. A man turns up dead hanging from a lamppost after one of her fascist political speeches and no one seems to care aside from factory worker 'Philbert Noyce' (Mel Rodriguez), who is immediately targeted.

This futuristic costume from the episode worn by Vera Farmiga was designed by Laura Jean Shannon, with help from Assistant Costume Designer Carrie Grace and Costume Supervisor Debra Beebe.

This costume was photographed at Downtown L.A.'s FIDM Museum on August 21, 2018, as part of the 12th annual Outstanding Art of Television Costume Design exhibition, which also included the Costume Designer's Black Lightning season one superhero suit.

The Chi season 1 TV costumes on display...

Lena Thwaite's The Chi explores life in a neighbourhood on the South Side of Chicago and how a murder of a young boy affects the predominantly black and poor community living there. These costumes from the show are worn by Sonja Sohn as 'Laverne Johnson' a mother of two with a drinking problem, Barton Fitzpatrick as drug dealer and gang leader 'Reg' and Jacob Latimore as sneaker-obsessed teen and young father 'Emmett Washington'.

Broad City season 4 TV costumes on display...

In honour of the fifth and final season of Broad City airing on Comedy Central today, I thought fans would love to check out this selection of wardrobe from the series fourth season on display. The show follows two twenty-somethings, 'Ilana Wexler' (Ilana Glazer) and 'Abbi Abrams' (Abbi Jacobson), navigating life and living large in New York City.

These season four costumes were photographed on display at Downtown L.A.'s FIDM Museum on August 21, 2018, and I especially like the feminist icon denim jacket sported by Ilana Glazer in the show (and Hillary Clinton once even had a cameo in the show's third season).

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt season 4 TV costumes on display...

In Netflix's comedy Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Ellie Kemper plays the titular 'Kimmy' who was abducted and spent fifteen years living underground in a bunker as one of the 'Indiana Mole Women' until she escaped captivity and moved to New York City to start life afresh with a positive and naive attitude. There she become the roommate of gay struggling actor 'Titus Andromedon' (Tituss Burgess) and for a time the babysitter of NYC socialite 'Jacqueline White' (Jane Krakowski). The fourth season of the comedy with Kimmy starting a new job was split in two, with the first six episodes released at the end of May 2018, with seven final episodes to follow in January 2019.

Schitt's Creek season 4 TV costumes on display...

In Schitt's Creek, rich video-store magnate 'Johnny Rose' (Eugene Levy) and his opulent family suddenly find themselves broke after the government tax department seizes their assets and they're forced to relinquish their pampered lives and move to a sleepy town he once bought for his son as a joke. Dan Levy plays his son 'David Rose', Annie Murphy his daughter 'Alexis' and Catherine O'Hara his wife and former soap actress, 'Moira'. The Canadian riches-to-rags comedy was also created by real-life father and son, Eugene and Dan Levy.

Another Period season 3 TV costumes on display...

In the historical comedy Another Period, Riki Lindhome and Natasha Leggero star as the narcissistic and aristocratic sisters 'Beatrice' and Lillian Bellacourt', part of the first family of Newport, Rhode Island, at the turn of the 20th century. The spoiled, selfish socialite siblings in this spoof are like the Kardashians of the Edwardian age, concerned only with their looks, their fame and the parties they attend.
