In Alien: Romulus, David Jonsson plays the synthetic person 'Andy' who was found discarded and reprogrammed by the father of orphaned 'Rain Carradine', his primary directive to do what is best for his adoptive sister. Living on the dangerous mining colony of Jackson's Star which sees no daylight, he is needed by a young crew of scavengers who want to raid a seemingly abandoned spacecraft in orbit to acquire some cryostasis units, in order to sleep for nine years in space for a better life on a newly terraformed planet and escape their enforced servitude to the Weyland-Yutani Corporation. Being artificial, he can speak MU/TH/UR 6000 code to the spaceship's computer and get the crew access. Unbeknownst to them, the derelict craft is actually a research space station which contains the most dangerous life form in the universe.
