Andrew Garfield's Spider-man is back for another amazing outing and this time he faces off against another supervillain who we haven't seen on the big screen yet, 'Electro', played by Jamie Foxx. Not only does Electro's costume receive a radical redesign from the classic green and yellow outfit from the Marvel Spider-man comics, but he's actually changed race too and the traditionally caucasian villain is now played by the African-American actor.
Deborah Lynn Scott is Costume Designer on this Spidey sequel, so be sure to take a closer look at the new Spider-man suit and Gwen Stacy costume from The Amazing Spider-man 2 also on display at ArcLight Hollywood cinema on April 29, 2014.
Even though it was fun to see the iconic red, blue and black webbed suit on display, there's something about seeing something totally new from the world of comic book movies on display, so that's why I was more enamoured with Electro's costume.

In the movie before he becomes the electrically-powered arch-foe of Spidey, 'Max Dillon' works for OsCorp Industries and is initially saved by Spider-man. After he accidentally falls into a tank of genetically-altered eels at an OsCorp laboratory he is transformed into a living electricity generator crackling with energy.

I loved that they used a blue mannequin to reflect the electric blue energy look of Electro and the lightening bolt studs on his costume are a nice touch when you see them up close. Hopefully all these detail shots will be of use to any cosplayers or costumers planning to make their own suit for a convention, or Halloween, this year.
If you're a fan of the actor, be sure to also check out these movie costumes from White House Down, in which he plays the U.S. President under siege.

Plus if you're a fan of cool stuff, be sure to check out this special Amazing Spider-man 2 electroluminescent billboard. By day it's a normal teaser for the movie, but at night Electro magically appears in the New York City skies in front of Spidey. With a 'Sinister Six' spin-off movie in the Spider-man universe planned, I'm sure this isn't the last we've seen of Electro.
