2001 saw Hanna-Barbera's 1970's cartoon Josie and the Pussycats brought to the big screen in a live-action version starring Rachael Leigh Cook as the titular 'Josie McCoy', leader of the all-girl pop band.

Originally based on the popular comic book characters created by Dan DeCarlo for Archie Comics, this new millennium version saw Josie and the Pussycats take on a conspiracy in the record industry to deliver subliminal messages through pop music, turning teenagers into braindead zombies who just want to shop and buy things.Leesa Evans was Costume Designer on this movie adaptation and you can also see her work in the likes of Bridesmaids, American Pie and the live-action Scooby-Doo movies.
