Costumes featured in War Horse on display...

Steven Spielberg's movie adaptation of War Horse arrived in theatres this Christmas and to promote the World War I drama these original costumes featured in the film were on display at ArcLight Sherman Oaks cinema on December 27, 2011.

Based on Michael Morpurgo's children's book of the same name, the movie tells the tale of a young boy 'Albert' and the special bond he shares with his horse 'Joey', who is sold to the British cavalry during WWI. Albert enlists in the army and travels Europe to bring his horse back home to England.

Tom Hiddleston wears this British blue cavalry uniform as 'Captain Nicholls' in the movie. He buys Joey from Albert's father and is killed on the battlefield in the cavalry charge against the Germans.

The Adventures of Tintin life-size movie display...

To help promote Steven Spielberg's big screen adaptation of The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn, they had these life-size replicas of Hergé's comic book characters in the foyer of the ArcLight Hollywood cinema on December 12, 2011.

It's not a bad way to get people excited about the animated movie when there are no original costumes or props to be exhibited.
