With neo-Nazi white supremacists marching through the streets of America in recent years there was never a better time for last year's Spike Lee Oscar-nominated BlacKkKlansman movie to shine a spotlight on racism in the U.S., past and present. This film is set in the 1970s and based on the 2014 memoir by police officer Ron Stallworth (played by John David Washington), the first African-American detective in the Colorado Springs police department, who sets out to infiltrate and expose the local chapter of the Ku Klux Klan with the help of fellow Jewish officer 'Flip Zimmerman' (Adam Driver) going undercover. Laura Harrier plays 'Patrice Dumas', the president of the black student union at Colorado College who Stallworth meets undercover at a civil rights rally.

Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick film costumes from A Simple Favor on display...

In director Paul Feig's dark comedy thriller, A Simple Favor, Anna Kendrick plays parenting vlogging mom 'Stephanie Smothers' who befriends the super-secretive, sophisticated fashionista 'Emily Nelson' (Blake Lively) when their kids have a playdate and they bond over martinis. When the mysterious Emily goes missing, Stephanie plays amateur sleuth to get to the bottom of her disappearance and discovers more than she bargained for.

This duo of contrasting costumes from the movie were designed by Renée Ehrlich Kalfus and were photographed on display at Downtown L.A.'s FIDM Museum on February 5, 2019, as part of the 27th annual Art of Motion Picture Costume Design exhibition.

In the feature Blake Lively wears several sharp, vintage tailored outfits like this shirt-less, wide-legged tuxedo pantsuit, whilst Anna Kendrick's softer wardrobe reflects her character's desire to win over followers for her mommy vlogging site.

And considering her character has a penchant for sleek menswear, Lively also sports the director's own skull head walking cane as part of this look.

In his first solo outing the DC Comics character teams-up with Amber Heard's 'Mera' to stop his half-brother, the power-hungry 'King Orm' from using the undersea kingdom of Atlantis to wage war against the surface world.
