Starz Outlander series is based on Diana Gabaldon's best-selling series of books and follows the adventures of a married combat nurse from the 1940's who's flung back in time to the 18th century Scottish Highlands, where she must make new alliances, including romantic ones, to survive.

Here's a collection of original costumes from from hit series on display at The Grove shopping center in L.A. on May 27, 2015.This exhibit has toured around a bit to support Outlander premiere screening events and the like, but Im sure it's in L.A. to help raise the show's profile in the key Emmy Award campaigning season, and I'm sure they're hoping that Terry Dresbach will win for Outstanding Costumes for a Series.

I'm sure most fans will have seen these costumes already in some form or another, but here's a collection of costumes from the first season on display, although as ever having to cope with reflective protective cases never makes photography easy, so apologies for the quality.

I'm certain most people will want to see the lovely embroidered wedding dress worn by Caitriona Balfe as the plucky time-traveling heroine 'Claire Randall'. Sadly I couldn't get a great shot of 'Jamie Fraser's' wedding outfit, but you get the general idea.

Next up are two more costumes worn by the two lead actors. Claire's forest green, charcoal grey and navy tartan dress can not only be see in 'The Gathering' and 'Rent' first season episodes, but it also features prominently on the midseason billboards an promotional art for the returning show. Meanwhile the season one costume worn by Sam Heughan as 'Jamie Fraser' features the show's signature brown, tan and blue-grey check Outlander tartan.

Next are two cool costumes worn by Clan war-chieftain 'Dougal MacKenzie' and herbalist and suspected witch 'Geillis Duncan' (her grey felted wool bodice look worn in 'The Way Out' episode).

Here's also another period outfit, the black raven fabric dress, worn by the Geillis Duncan character in the 'The Devil's Mark' episode.
