In writer and director Damien Chazelle's new romantic musical, La La Land, Ryan Gosling plays a jazz pianist who falls for Emma Stone's aspiring actress in modern day Los Angeles. Waiting for her big break 'Mai' serves lattes to movie stars in Hollywoodland, whilst 'Sebastian' scrapes by as a jazz musician playing dingy bars dreaming of one day owning his own club.

These cool costumes were photographed on display in ArcLight Hollywood cinema's foyer on December 3, 2016.

Mary Zophres is Costume Designer on the film which harkens back to those old Hollywood musicals, and you can also see her movie costumes in Hail, Caesar!, Interstellar, True Grit and Gangster Squad (where she also dressed Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling in 1940s L.A. fashions).

It's not the first time that this beautiful young couple have played lovers, as they also starred opposite each other in Crazy, Stupid, Love and Gangster Squad.
